Apple has come up with another innovation towards tablets with iPad 2 to provide a complete definition of tablets and taking over all the lagging features of its predecessor. It has not come up with a new design but has gone a slim and light approach to the previous version with 33% thinner and 15% lighter making it more easy to hold in your hands. When it comes to innovative design, Apple's name tops the list and has come up with VGA rear and front cameras mainly to make use of its FaceTime applications. The camera power is expected to be improved with the further versions of the gadget.
Apple iPad 2 has gone round the dual core way with an A5 chip on board. It has even come up with the latest iOS 4.3 software with better performance of Safari web browser and iTunes interface. The HDMI output is also provided for streaming media on to larger TV screen. Besides, the RAM power has been doubled at 512 MB for better multitasking abilities. Even the applications at the App Store has been redefined for the new tablet with bettered AirPrint, AirPlay, games and other apps. It has even come up with the idea of magnetic smart covers to protect the screen, act as kickstand and even automatically make it active and inactive when turned off and on over the screen.
Apart from the newer things, iPad 2 has also kept the standard features of the previous tablet intact. These standard features include the 9.7 inches LCD screen, advanced storage options (16, 32, 64 GB), better connectivity (GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, 3G), ten hours of movie playback, longer battery life, iBook PDF reader for reading books on the screen along with many other minor functionalities that has been greatly liked by users. It has redefined the revolution of the first tablet with the advent of iPad 2.
